LOL - China marks Journalists Day

Filed under: Global news, Journalism — Hans Henrik Lichtenberg @ 11:45 am

China will mark its third Journalists Day tomorrow with a range of celebration activities, including a singing contest, in the city of Shenzhen in southern Guangdong province. China has 750,000 journalists, according to the All-China Journalists Association. About 100 representatives from 200 media organisations are gathered to ‘recall history and march to the future’, the theme of the celebrations, which take place from November 4 to 8. Lectures, talks, award ceremonies, and parties are being staged to entertain journalists and enhance exchanges, said a spokesperson for the organising committee under the All-China Journalists Association.
